Advancements in Microwave Ablation Series (Part 1): Early Experience and Case Review of the IntelliBlate Microwave System

Microwave ablation continues to evolve in interventional oncology, driven by an expanding base of skilled practioners, stronger clinical evidence, and ongoing technological innovation. The IntelliBlate System from Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company, received FDA approval in July 2024. IntelliBlate has generated significant interest due to its integrated probe thermocouples, intuitive design and user interface, and synergy with Siemens Healthineers imaging and software solutions, such as myAblation Guide and myNeedle Laser Companion.
